Mat, Your Licensed Parkland County HVAC Technician

Mat trained as an HVAC technician in Ottawa, then headed west to Fort McMurray, where he spent a year learning what real cold does to a heating system. After that he moved south and settled in Parkland County, and he has been proudly serving the area community ever since, going on 12 years.

In that time he has handled just about every type of installation there is: high-efficiency furnace changeouts in century homes, central air conditioning in new builds, cold-climate heat pumps, garage unit heaters, tankless water heaters and brand new gas lines. His work has even landed him a local news appearance, but the part he's proudest of is the repeat customers and neighbours who keep passing his number along.

No pressure, no mystery invoices, no subcontracted crews you've never met. You call MR HVAC, you get Mat.

The Backcountry: Powder, Two-Stroke, and the Open Outdoors

Mountain snowmobiling is my biggest passion. There is nothing like the smell of two-stroke in crisp mountain air, cutting fresh lines through deep Rockies powder and climbing ridges most people only see in pictures.

Riding alpine terrain takes focus, planning, and gear you can trust. The same mindset goes into every system I install: it has to work when it matters most.

When the snow melts I am hiking, exploring, and getting into dirt biking and side-by-sides. If it is outside and somewhere in the mountains or Canada's backcountry, I want to see it.

The Garage as a Second Home

I like working on things and learning new things. Most evenings and weekends you will find me in the shop tuning sleds, wrenching on dirt bikes, or sorting out a side-by-side.

Taking machines apart and putting them back together better is how I learned to troubleshoot. That curiosity is exactly what I bring to your furnace, AC, or gas line.

Meet the Pack: Diesel & Nola, Plus Treats in the Truck

Family dogs welcome. Treats in the truck.

Diesel is my Rottweiler and Golden Retriever cross. He is a little over three, a total handful, and will try to eat just about anything. Nola is my Husky Shepherd mix and the best cuddler there is. She lives for any kind of affection or attention.

I love all dogs. I carry treats in the truck, and getting to meet all the different dogs on the job is honestly the highlight of my workdays. Your pup will never be a problem when I show up.
